"Process is the avenue to change"
A graduate of Georgia State University and University of Georgia, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience helping people from all walks of life.
My experience includes working with individuals and families who are dealing with addiction and recovery issues, particularly treatment options and education around codependency.
Additionally, working with people living with depression, anxiety, and symptoms of bi-polar in a hospital setting has prepared me to understand and assist in managing feelings and the challenges related to the diagnosis. Other areas of treatment include grief and loss, communication skills, employment stress and chronic illness.
In our pre-appointment conversation we can discuss these areas of treatment as well as those which may be personal to you. My goal, together with you, is to identify a sure fit between client and therapist. This will maximize the benefits of your therapy and make the best use of our time together.
My approach is eclectic - combining aspects of Mindfulness and Psychotherapy with the practical approach of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy--always with respect and compassion for the individual.
I look forward to talking with you soon.
